First we made cars lighter and stronger with plant fibre

For decades INCA's innovation team has created and manufactured bio-composite auto interiors that make cars lighter, safer and more energy efficient.

Now we’re also focusing on RVs, boats and consumer products

Today we are using strong hemp fibre to design car interiors, RV sidewalls and boat cores that will be lighter, cost competitive and recyclable. That means better fuel and EV battery efficiency. We’ve even developed a strong, bio-based replacement for plastic knives and forks, furniture, kids' toys, and other consumer products. That means single use cutlery can be compostable and consumer products can be recyclable.

Good for our planet

Our bio-plastics will be made from hemp grown in the Canadian Prairie. Hemp sequesters three times more carbon than trees. It grows fast and doesn’t need much water. We’re using the hemp stalk leftover from hemp grown for plant-based protein. That’s good for our planet.

We help save Amazon rainforests which are vital for our planet and reduce the need for plastic

Our manufacturing will be based in North America. We will be waste free and radically reduce manufacturing emissions, in comparison with the raw materials that we’re replacing. That means we help save the Amazon rainforest - which is vital for a healthy planet - and replace petroleum-based plastics which are polluting our beaches and leaching toxic chemicals into the environment.

INCA BioPlastics™

Our hemp based BioPlastics, when made with bio-based polymers, are a direct substitute for polystyrene and glass reinforced, petroleum-based plastics - typically polypropylene or polyethylene. Our ability to compound precisely dimensioned hemp fibre with bio-polymers improves the structural performance of the final products by 2 to 3 times. Manufacturers can use the resulting pellets in their existing injection molding equipment to make strong, cost competitive furniture, toys, cutlery, automotive parts and more.

INCA BioPanels™

Did you know most RV sidewalls are made from Amazon rainforest plywood? North America manufacturers use more than 600 million square feet a year! Instead of cutting down the rainforest which is important for carbon sequestration for our healthy planet we’ve developed a way to use hemp instead. We make RV sidewalls which are stronger, lighter and more weather proof than wood frame construction. That means your RV will sequester carbon, have much lower gas mileage and last longer!

INCA PrePregs™

We’ve built on our decades of experience developing and manufacturing natural fibre composites for the automotive industry to create the next generation of sustainable materials. Our first customer, Toyota, has confirmed that INCA’s PrePregs can produce stronger, lighter, safer car interiors.
